Using Specialized’s Body Geometry Fit Integration Technology (BG FIT), we make sure your bike is a perfect fit.

Dr. Andy Pruitt Ed.D., PA of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, came up with the process of making precise measurements to ensure that your body isn’t enduring cumulative damage from a bike that doesn’t fit properly. 701 Cycle and Sport is one of the only locations in the region that offers this service, with technicians who participated in an intense training program from Specialized University in Morgan Hill, California.

We’ll start with an interview to assess your biking needs and history, including past injuries. Then, we’ll assess your flexibility and other physical attributes, like foot structure, knee position, spinal curve, etc. From there, the assessment will conclude with a front and side view to make sure your position on the bike is optimal. A follow-up appointment about one week later gives the technician and you a chance to review the adjustments.

Who Needs It?

The BG FIT is perfect for the rider who is serious about their riding. Think long-distance, triathlon, or long-tour rides — if these are your sports, you’ll want to consider a BG FIT.

In long-distance riding, your body is going through thousands and thousands of repetitive movements. If your bike isn’t a perfect fit, you’re at the risk of injury. The BG FIT is a comprehensive idea that not only helps reduce the chance for such injuries, but helps you ride faster and longer in greater comfort.

Contact us to set up your appointment. A BG FIT generally takes anywhere from two to three hours. We’ll also schedule a follow-up appointment to make sure everything is in working order.
