On May 12 and 13 a Traffic Skills 101 bicycling skills class is being offered in Mandan. The class is designed to teach adult cyclists how to use a bicycle with confidence and competence for pleasure, utility, and sport under various highway, climate, terrain, and traffic conditions. The class is presented in three section: The Basics, Bicycling in Traffic, and Enjoying the Ride.
The class is being presented by longtime area cyclist’s Allen Thompson and Justin Kristan on behalf of the League of American Bicyclist’s Smart Cycling Program. The fee is a suggested free will donation of $25 which will go directly towards support of the North Dakota Active Transportation Alliance.
