This class is designed to teach adults how to use a bicycle with confidence and competence for pleasure, utility, and sport under various highway, climate, terrain, and traffic conditions. The lass is organized into three levels:
- The Basics
– The Bicycle
– Clothing and Equipment
– Bicycle Handling
- Bicycling in Traffic
– Your Role in Traffic
– Avoiding Crashes
– Hazard Avoidance Maneuvers
- Enjoying the Ride
– Riding Equipment
– Ride Etiquette
– Helping Motorists Share the road
The levels are progressive and each builds on the knowledge and skills gained in the previous level.
Participants should plan to attend both days.
May 25 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
May 26 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Class Fee: Free Will suggested donation of $25 in Support of the North Dakota Active Transportation Alliance
