Fat & Flurious Fat Bike Race:

Registration Opens: Thanksgiving Day, 12:00 AM

Event Date: March 1, 2025

Location: Cross Ranch State Park

 
Kick off your cycling goals with the Fat & Flurious and celebrate the winter cycling season with us. Choose from the 10-mi Fat & Flurious distance or challenge yourself with the 20-mi Too Fat, Too Flurious. This event promises a festive atmosphere and an unforgettable start to your cycling season. Make it a weekend spent with family and friends by renting a cabin or yurt at CRSP.

 

Capitol City Crit:

Registration Opens: Thanksgiving Day, 12:00 AM

Event Date: May 3, 2025

Location: North Dakota State Capitol Grounds

This one is for all you roadies out there! The Capitol City Crit is the only road race in Bismarck/Mandan! Gather the family, pack some chairs or a blanket and come down to the State Capitol lawn for this exciting and engaging event. Simply put, it’s the NASCAR of cycling. This race might not be for everyone, but it’s going to be fun to watch!

 

Otter Creek MTB Race:

Registration Opens: Thanksgiving Day, 12:00 AM

Event Date: June 14, 2025

Location: Harmon Lake

Crank it up to 11! The 11th year of the Otter Creek MTB Race is coming at you, will you be there? This race provides a distance and experience for everyone as it follows the contours of the beautiful Harmon Lake. The trail provides everything from canopy covered technical to wide-open, fast and flowy, singletrack. We will be capping the race at 200 participants, so get registered early! Set a goal, challenge your friends and family, and compete for more than $4200 in cash prizes.

 

Lyons-Heart Gravel Classic presented by Ubl Design Group:

Registration Opens: Thanksgiving Day, 12:00 AM

Event Date: July 12, 2025

Location: Dykshoorn Park, Downtown Mandan

For those seeking a challenging and scenic cycling adventure, the Lyons-Heart Gravel Classic is the ultimate test. Choose from different distance options, including a challenging century (100 miles) for the experienced riders. This event takes you through the stunning landscapes of the Lyon’s Den, conquering hills that will have you questioning why they say North Dakota is flat and pushing your limits. It's an excellent opportunity to set ambitious goals, challenge yourself, and experience the satisfaction of overcoming obstacles. Competing for a $7000 prize purse might help keep the off-season motivation going as well!

 

AlKemist Gravel Fest:

Registration Opens: Thanksgiving Day, 12:00 AM

Event Date: October 4, 2025

Location: Graner Park/Sugarloaf Bottoms

Combine your love for cycling with the changing of the seasons at the AlKemist Gravel Fest. This event will have you climbing your way out of the Missouri River Valley onto the bluffs of Morton County. The 55-mile course will test you with minimum maintenance roads, fast descents and some of the longest climbs around, but your effort does not go unrewarded as the views are spectacular as well. There is also an abbreviated version, the 30-mile race is short on distance but not on views!

This Thanksgiving Day, take a break from the turkey and stuffing to set your goals for the upcoming year and get your friends and family involved in the exciting world of cycling. Register for one or all of these incredible events and embark on an unforgettable adventure that will challenge you while creating epic memories.
